Weekly Newsletter for The Freelancers: Here is the latest newsletter of the week starting on 23th September 2019.
After you start blogging, soon you’ll find that there are other people working on the same niche. You’ll find them often around you. After a period of blogging you’ll realize that you are living in a village with them.
These other people are your competitors in your niche. You must compete with them following the best strategies of blogging. You must be different from them. It can be possible through content marketing.
I have found an article about this on Reblogger. In this article the writer Victor Ijidola discusses some strategies that I think are critical for niche bloggers. Check Victor’s article by clicking here.
I think that Victor’s tip number 4 is the best.

How Do You Find Inspiration After A Big Failure? Here Are Some Tips
“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is
delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end.
Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing,
doing nothing, and being nothing.”
– Denis Waitley
Failing is the part of our life. In childhood, we learnt to walk after countless times of failing. In adulthood we handle important and sensitive issues and failing in them gives us a shock. This makes us de-motivated to face the next challenges.
As I have said that failing is natural. So, rising after each failing is the real challenge. You must believe that people who have never failed have not tried anything yet. You are advanced from them in at least two ways. One is, you have tried something, and another is you know a way that will not make it successful.
Freelancers often face this problem. Failing in winning a project bid makes them de-motivated, but they must learn to move on.
Tia Moreen has written an article for www.dumblittleman.com about how to find inspiration after a great failure. Here is the article. Tia advises to accept your weaknesses and failures. I totally agree with her. What do you think?

We are constantly searching for news articles and videos on skills development and inspiration for freelancers.
Each week we have decided to bring you the links to what we consider are the top three articles or videos. Here they are for this week:
- I know that many freelancers work with business clients and use many different skills to help their clients. One of the skills that is growing in demand is being able to manage the Facebook Ads because it is a specialized skill.
This may start off as being in-house, but if it is successful it can become time consuming and I believe it will become an outsourcing opportunity for freelancers.
We have an article on our website about this entitled 20 Ways Freelancers to Businesses Can Earn $1,000’s Per Month Extra Running Facebook Ads for Clients. You can read the article by clicking here. Note the affiliate disclosure.
- Content marketing for business has evolved quickly with the evolution of video so that there are now freelancers who specialize in doing the video marketing for businesses. It also requires specialized skills that very few businesses would have within their employee numbers.
We have an article on our website entitled Top 20 Reasons Why Businesses Need to Use Video in Content Marketing. You can read the article by clicking here. Note the affiliate disclosure.
- One of the issues that often impacts freelancers is stress. This is especially true when they are starting out because often they are on their own starting a new venture with very little or no support.
Not only do they have to find clients and service their needs, but also meet client deadlines and their own budget targets. This gives rise to the need to develop a skill for stress management.
We have found that journaling is an effective way of doing this. On our website we have an article entitled 10 Reasons Why Freelancers Are Helped by Journaling to Overcome Stress, Anxiety and Depression. You can read the article by clicking here.
There are now 5,000 skills in 90 categories that the digital economy can offer, according to Upwork’s 2nd. Quarter 2019 Skills Index which you can read here.
Number one on the list is Blockchain. If you are like me, you will probably want to know more about Blockchain. I looked it up on Wikipedia of course and this is what it is here and this is the latest news on Blockchain here.

Amazon Associates Website Case Study
As discussed in previous newsletters we are focussing on the niche website in the future because it is producing better results i.e. sales.
There has been an interesting development in our Amazon niche website. We have found Google penalizes websites reviewing products based on features and benefits without actual product experience.
We have therefore changed our strategy to include guest posts and this is the first by Eli Owen: Eco-Friendly Interior Decor Ideas To Make Your Home Beautiful. The goal is to increase traffic and diversify product promotion.
There have been 29 Amazon product sales (across all our websites) in the past month due to the keyword research and skills of Mamun, my virtual assistant.
Freelancers And Cyber Security
We have decided to expand our search for appropriate articles for freelancers about cybersecurity and online scams.
